JESSICA AND JAMES
MAY 17, 2008
THE KEITH-ALBEE THEATRE
Vintage glamour. 1920's opulence. Art deco. Phrases which seamlessly compliment one another in the description of the historic Keith-Albee Theatre's inaugural wedding, the nuptials of Jessica Taylor and James Graley on May 17, 2008.
Designed by prominent cinema architect Thomas Lamb, the Keith opened to the public on May 7, 1928. 153 theatres were designed by Lamb around the world, but only 43 remain open. Vaudeville masters B.F. Keith and Edward Albee supervised construction of the theatre which soon became part of the Keith-Albee vaudeville circuit on the East Coast.
To subtly compliment the theatre's ornate interior, Jessica chose a palette of midnight black and ruby. Outdoor surroundings, including streets, fire escapes, and alleys, provided a classic backdrop for black & white photographs.
After professing their vows on stage in a civil ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated with dinner and dancing in the theatre's lobby and mezzanine areas. The romantic afternoon and evening were followed by a Mediterranean honeymoon, where Jessica and James ventured from Rome, Italy to Cannes, France."
