The natural tones of mountains and forests were accented by a chocolate and ocean motif chosen by Andrea and Bill. All aspects of the wedding were nature infused - beneath Andrea's veil, wildflowers were woven into her hair. Turquoise earrings, Bill's wedding day gift to Andrea, further enhanced the spirit of fresh, uncluttered simplicity. Throughout the day, details and portraits were documented against the vibrant West Virginia landscape.
Inside the resort's St. Bernard Chapel, the couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony. Awaiting the groom outside was a bagpiper - a surprise from Andrea and a special way of honoring the King family's Scottish heritage.
After enjoying a sunset view steps from the chapel, Andrea and Bill made their entrance into the Hearth Room of the Soaring Eagle Lodge. Floor to ceiling windows offered guests a panoramic view of the mountains as evening turned to night. Cocktails, dinner, and dancing ensued at a leisurely pace, as the couple enjoyed conversation and laughter with their families. Just before midnight, guests lit sparklers and bid farewell to Andrea and Bill, who embarked upon a roadtrip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina."
