As an artist, Melissa Perella appreciates the importance of wedding collections presented in an elegant and timeless fashion. Utilizing handcrafted albums and boxes produced by artisans in New England and Los Angeles, California, Melissa collaborates with clients to choose ideal color palettes and fabrics for each presentation. All materials are archival: Free of acid, lignin, and PVC.

Clients often comment that their storybooks resemble old family heirloom albums passed through the generations. Each storybook is designed by the technology of hands and eyes - computer templates and other mainstream design procedures are not utilized at Perella Photography. Storybook pages contain custom prints in various sizes which reconstruct the unique story of each wedding day.

Shadowboxes are created as a "visual window" to each couple's experience. Working with not only photographs, but invitations, programs, and poetry, Melissa designs heirloom boxes that are treasured by families worldwide.
